Writing from that space where decisions have landed but their weight hasn’t lifted yet, “what more could I ask you to do?” sees Lucas Assagba move slowly through resolve and doubt, pairing soft-focus melodic pull with sharper moments that scrape through when they need to. Shoegaze holds the atmosphere, but there’s biting grit here too, not to mention the willingness to sit with feeling rather than tidy it up.
