BENT Hedonism is a fixed point in Manchester’s queer electronic map. Founded and resident-led by Jase Jeffery, the day rave and label centres queer minorities while directing funds toward LGBTQIA+ and humanitarian causes. It’s a path he’s run from Perth through more than a decade behind the decks across the UK, Europe and Australia. Pulling from earlier rave language and moving through breaks, acid house, UK bass, EBM, broken beat and electro, each selection taps into the collective charge that builds when a room finds its centre.
