A crazy year leading up to the festival with all hell breaking loose around the Ting Tings at Islington Mill, making it ever so strange to see them make their ‘public’ debut on the most miniscule of stages at the Rovers Return.

A few doors down the Black Lion/Contort Yourself combo created enough sweat to fill Audenshaw reservoir with Real Dolls, Performance and the superbly monikered U R Penetrators and The Whip served up a frenzy along the waterside at the Mark Addy.

Red Deer Club reprised their previous years Church congregation with Liz Green and The Boats, while The Albert Vaults took on a stage for the last time, closing for good shortly after.

Photographs were still a rare commodity at nights out and parties in 2007, we are relying mostly here on some intrepid audience goers who braved bringing their cameras along and having the foresight to add them on to Flickr!
