Volunteering at SFTOC. How do I get involved?

Sounds wouldn’t happen without the help of our amazing volunteers, who assist with stage management, wristband exchange, stewarding, site management and more.

Find out more about our volunteer callout here.

I’m a promoter. How can I run a stage at the festival?

SFTOC is a promoter-led event, which means that we don’t book artists centrally. We invite our favourite promoters, platforms, labels and curators from across the North West (and beyond) who then select the artist line-ups that most excite them.

You can see a full list of promoters from each of our 16 years in our history section. https://soundsfromtheothercity.com/history. We invite some new promoters each year as well as a whole host of regulars.

We have a centralised database of artists that we share with our promoters and refresh each year. This is not an application process for the festival but if you would like to be added please send a link to your music, a 50 word max bio, your location and contact email to info@soundsfromtheothercity.com.
