We Invented The Weekend has been postponed due to the news of the Queen’s death, which means that SFTOQuays will no longer be taking place on Sunday 11 September.

The festival organisers have said: “After lots of difficult conversations today, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the festival. We’re so grateful for the passion and commitment of everyone that’s worked so hard on the event so far.

We still want to create an opportunity for the community to come together this weekend, so the performance from The Weekend Orchestra with the BBC Philharmonic will go ahead at midday on Saturday and Sunday in the MediaCity Piazza. We invite orchestra participants to come together to rehearse from 10am and invite everyone to come and watch the performance and share a special moment together.”
