Words cannot express the loss our community is feeling right now following the tragic death of Lou Woodcock.

In so many ways Lou was the epitome of the energy and life that gave birth to Sounds; their talent, kindness, supportiveness and joy was one in a million. Over the years, Lou collaborated with us on so many projects, graced so many of our stages and lit up our dance floors, our stages, our streets and our tv screens. You may not have known Lou but, if you’ve been to Sounds before, you’ll have undoubtedly encountered their phenomenal spirit and creations in some form or other.

For now we all feel so very sad, but as we go on we will always do our best to make Lou proud and channel their energy into all that we do. Now and always, a true queer legend.
