Trash-O-Rama is a monthly club night promoting the underbelly of the Manchester music scene and bringing the noisiest acts they can find to perform for your listening pleasure. Promoters and DJs Polly Esther and Johnny Trash are firm believers in the DIY ethic and because of this and their endless imagination can bring you their monthly party for free!
Combining many a genre – from House, Disco, Hip – Hop and Soul to Punk, No Wave, Riot Grrrl, Grunge and beyond, Trash-O-Rama represents a new breed of night that is constantly evolving, introducing new and exciting bands/music but still staying true to the joys of the 12″! They are currently serving time at Bollox and Homoelectric as residents and have DJd most of the unsavoury venues in Manchester over the last 5 or so years! After sweating the rafters off the New Oxford last year, we’re thrilled to have them back to join us again this year.

CoverGirl’s 7” single ‘Paris Burns’ is out now on Brooklyn-based indie label Captured Tracks. Inspired by the heralded 1990 documentary film ‘Paris is Burning’ – an intimate portrait of New York City’s LGBT subculture – it’s accompanied by an insanely surreal video which recently premiered at Sauna, an arts space in Hoxton run by Billy Easter and friends. And with its cautionary percussive pull, harrowing screams and intoxicating atonal twang, you’d certainly be hard pushed to stand still… Check out Paris Burns video.

Having played Trash-O-Rama`s stage at SFTOC 2011, No Womb have become the `TOR House Band` of sorts, so of course we had to have them on again. Heres what we think of them – “Time travelling dominatrixes from the 30th Century No Womb shot Andy Warhol, invented bra burning, were the original Suffragettes and more. They decided that they`d been there done that so settled in Manchester and created a riotous 2 piece with a penchant for 90`s dance (which they also invented)”

Another of Trash-O-Rama’s stalwarts are Klaus Kinski. If you haven’t seen the whirling dervish that is James, Edwin, Dyl, Dom, Del & Jake live then this is yr time. They love horses, they make a mess, they smell & Jake ‘Jake McKenna’ McKenna is the closest you lot are gonna get to an actual celebrity. If Slipknot had brains, if Evil Dead was a song, if Dahmer, Manson, Lucas, Gacy, Ramirez & Wuornos formed a band (and weren’t murde…strike that) and if Suicide had less electronics and more demons you wouldn’t get Klaus Kinski but as close as. Cover yr ears.

“The tale of six good looking companions in inexplicably large apartments as they over come a series of middle-class obstacles.”It is a testament to Sex Hands that the fact all of their songs are about Friends quickly becomes one of the least interesting things about them. Forming of sorts five years ago in north west Wales, the group is now based in Manchester and have been performing as Sex Hands for just over a year.
They share members with a host of other bands including Klaus Kinski, Waiters and Irma Vep.
